Senior Certified: I Now Have My Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) Designation

I am pleased to announce that I have earned my Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation via the National Association of Realtors. This designation gives me a broader range of knowledge and further adds to the resources in my “bag of tools” that I use to help people navigate the process of buying and selling real estate.

Attaining this designation has educated me to the particular needs of Seniors as they prepare to retire or move into a new phase of life. To be clear the designation refers to all people over 50 years of age so the range of needs is vast within those four to five generations of people. (I can assure you that at 50 I did NOT consider myself a Senior). As a Senior myself, now, I feel that I am already somewhat pre-qualified to be sensitive to the needs of people who are aging and making decisions regardingtheir futures.

Don’t misunderstand I STILL LOVE WORKING WITH FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS AND REPEAT CLIENTS!  That will not change! However, I now have the opportunity and the added resources to offer a greater knowledge base to current and future clients. Additionally, I have resources to assist adult children who may need to help their aging parents with decision making.
